Medical Center Eye Clinic is comprised of the independent ophthalmology practices of Drs. E.T. Sornson, Thomas R. Stevens, U. John Berzins and Robert E. Tibolt, Eye Physicians and Surgeons, located at 655 Medical Center Drive NE, Salem, OR, 97301. Dr. Thomas A. Zook, Doctor of Optometry, assists our physicians with refractions and fits contact lenses and low vision aids.

Dr. Sornson came to Salem in 1967 to establish his ophthalmology practice, and Medical Center Eye Clinic has been at the same location since that time. Each eye md is an ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases and disorders of the eyes and visual system, and performs surgery. We provide total eye care by performing comprehensive examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, diagnosing eye diseases and treating them medically and surgically. In addition we are very pleased to offer state-of-the-art refractive surgery including LASIK to our patients.

Dr. Zook performs refractions, determining the correction needed in glasses or contact lenses and fits contact lenses. Patients may see Dr. Zook for refraction and their ophthalmologist for the medical portion of their examination.

Our complete optical department has a wide selection of the best and latest in eyewear. Our prices are competitive, and our services are held to the highest standards attainable, based on our opticianry staff who hold certification and many years experience in their profession.

The support staff at Medical Center Eye Clinic includes medical assistants, receptionists, a bookkeeper, a full-time insurance clerk and the clinic manager. We are all participating physicians in Medicare, meaning that we accept Medicare assignment for all services covered by Medicare.
